Rooted in memory and transformation, this work reflects on the forgotten Baolis of Delhi—ancient stepwells that once nurtured both community and spirit. Reimagined here as metaphors of reflection and resilience, they resurface as living symbols of continuity within a rapidly shifting urban landscape.
Peacocks, geometric forms, and architectural fragments flow across the composition like echoes of the city itself—alive, layered, and constantly in dialogue with time. The interlocking patterns evoke the rhythm of water and the pulse of human presence, suggesting that beneath every metropolis lies a deep reservoir of shared memory.
Handcrafted over 4,000 hours of meticulous embroidery, the piece transforms thread into structure—becoming a tactile meditation on renewal, coexistence, and the unseen architectures that bind people, nature, and history together.
