Biography

Jagannath Panda is one of India’s leading contemporary artists, acclaimed for his strikingly detailed paintings and sculptures that reflect on urbanization, identity, and the natural world. Born in 1970 in Orissa, Panda trained at the Royal College of Art, London, and the Delhi College of Art, grounding his practice in both Indian and international art traditions.

His works often feature hybrid creatures, lush landscapes, and urban motifs, blending realism with fantastical elements to comment on the tensions between tradition and modernity, nature and industry, individuality and collective identity.
